Gail Parker, 88
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 1 day, 1 hour AGO
Gail Marion Parker, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2026, with her husband of 70 years and her youngest son at her side. She was born on Feb. 27, 1938, to Orville and Della Sexauer in Seattle.
In 1955 at 17 years old she and John R. "Dick" Parker, 19 years old, were married. Two sons, John R. Jr. "Rick" (1958) and Michael M. (1962) joined the family. In 1970 the family moved from the Seattle area to Billings. A few years later the family moved again, this time to Kalispell.
Work was difficult to find during those years, forcing the family to return to the Seattle area in 1976. Montana was still on their mind and in the mid 1990s they returned. Dick and Gail enjoyed nearly 71 years of marriage together, a marriage many said would not last. In 1973 they both came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Their faith became the center piece and guiding force for the rest of their lives and their marriage.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Chubb and sisters, Donna and Ordelle and her grandson, Jason.
She is survived by her husband, Dick, her sons, Rick (Teresa) and Mike, all of Kalispell; her grandchildren, Justin Parker (Jennifer) and Janna Hills (Jake) of North Pole, Alaska, and grandson, Garrett Parker (Greta) of Vilnius, Lithuania. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Mallory, Alistair, Anders, Jaxon, Joey and Matas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Enhabit Home Health and Logan Hospice for their support and care during this difficult time. A private family service will be held at a later date.
