LEWISTON — Bonners Ferry High School senior Daniel Woelfle won four matches at the 4A league meet in Lewiston on Saturday, May 2.

Losing only to the top-seeded player from Orofino, Woelfle is now 6-1 overall in varsity tennis this season.

Woelfle will next play at 4A districts on May 8 and 9 at the University of Idaho in Moscow.

The top five men's singles from the district tournament will advance to the state tournament in Nampa, from May 15-16 with the top seed from the district tournament getting a first round bye. Last year Woelfle placed sixth in districts.

Bonners Ferry High School does not have their own tennis team, so they are part of a collective with Sandpoint High School, who with Woelfle practices and competes with during the regular season.

He will now participate in the 4A postseason representing Bonners Ferry High School.
