More than 90 singers from Chorale Coeur d’Alene will step onto the storied stage of Carnegie Hall on Memorial Day 2026 to mark the chorus’ 25th anniversary.

The local chorus, which draws singers of all ages and walks of life from across the Inland Northwest, is giving local audiences an exclusive first listen to the exact program that will be performed in New York.

The "Unfolding Horizons" preview concerts take place at 7 p.m. May 15 and at 2 p.m. May 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. Fifth St., Coeur d'Alene.

The program will showcase the same powerful repertoire destined for Carnegie Hall: Dan Forrest’s "Te Deum" — a sweeping, cinematic setting of an ancient hymn of praise filled with soaring melodies, complex rhythms and dramatic harmonies; and the world premiere of “The Mighty Power of God,” a fresh commission from Grammy-nominated composer Patti Drennan.

Founded in 2001 by a small group of passionate singers, Chorale Coeur d’Alene has grown into a vibrant community of more than 120 voices that perform high-quality choral music. Over 25 years the chorus has enriched local stages, supported young talent and brought thousands of audience members together through song, proving that world-class music can come from a hometown stage.

“I love singing in a large group, surrounded by a blend of different voice parts," Pat Matson Roland, soprano with 10 seasons in the chorus, said in a Friday news release. Singing with Chorale Coeur d’Alene has been a blessing in so many ways — through seasons of loss, in forming meaningful friendships and in offering inspiration to our community. This ensemble has enriched my life deeply, and for that, I am truly grateful."
