Bonners Ferry students win the State Typing Contest at Boise. Ethyl Bliss won the novice division for which the Underwood Typewriter Co. offered a trip to New York for the National contest this fall.
"The Swine Game" has reached Boundary Co. Farmers are enticed to buy a gilt for $85 and then the seller will buy back the offspring at $25 apiece.
Twenty-four cans of Eastern Brook Trout were placed in Curley Creek on Tuesday by the State Game Warden.

George Neumayer, formerly of Bonners Ferry, was named to the Idaho Department of Administration by Gov. Andrus.
A new laundromat is expected to be built in downtown Bonners Ferry. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cowin applied to the City Council for a building permit to construct a laundromat on Second St. near the Safeway.
The Academy of the Rockies will welcome the public to its fourth annual Mother's Day open house this Sunday. The school is located in the Cow Creek area, six miles east of town.

Mountain Springs youth group will be washing all downtown windows and offering a free car wash at their church parking lot.
The US Army Corps of Engineers said Tuesday the Kootenai River will be at flood stage for four to eight weeks.
SWISH will be presenting Valley View School with new basketball hoops today.
