Professional and Civic Experience
I worked for 30 years in Law Enforcement, retiring from the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office, I worked 3 years at Shoshone Funeral Services. I have been the Shoshone County Coroner for the past 9 years, and I have worked with the coroner’s office for 25 years before becoming the coroner. I went to work at Americas Gold and Silver (Galena) and have been there for 8 years; I’m currently Safety Supervisor. I’ve been a member of Mine Rescue for 6 years and a member of the mine rescue competition team for 5 years.

To continue giving the citizens of Shoshone County compassion, honesty, work beside Law Enforcement investigating death scenes and giving families the answers they need.
Decision-making and Fiscal Responsibility
As the coroner, you are responsible for determining the cause and manner of death. Some cases will require using a medical examiner to perform an autopsy, while working with Law Enforcement and the Prosecutors' office. The coroner signs off on death certificates with the cause and manner of death.
Community representation and Accountability
I have been a member of the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years, 10 years as Fire Chief. I spent 9 years on the Mullan School board, 5 years as chairperson of the board. I’m currently a member of the Mullan City Council and have been for 10 years. I was an EMT with Mullan Ambulance for 25 years before the service went county-wide. I’ve been a member of the Central Mine Rescue team for 6 years, Galena Mine Rescue Comp. for 5 years.
