Columbia Falls dominates Libby Tennis Invitational

Libby hosted its annual tennis invitational last weekend with Columbia Falls players winning three championships.
Teams from Western Montana included the host Loggers and Troy trojans, Superior, Cut Bank, Bigfork and CFalls.
Players from Bigfork, Cut Bank and Superior also won championships.
The Wildcats won titles in boys doubles 1s and 2s (William Oberholtzer and Jack Austin), girls doubles 1s and 2s (Ava Scholz and Fiona Bryant) and boys singles 3s and 4s (Scout Love).
Cut Bank’s Kage Ramey won 1s and 2s boys singles while Superior’s Josie Crabb won 1s and 2s girls singles. Bigfork’s Crace Holtmeyer won 3s and 4s girls singles.
Libby’s best finish occurred in boys doubles 1s and 2s when Blaise Erickson and Isaac Lamere were 2-1 with a runner-up finish in boys doubles 1s and 2s.
Teague Thompson had Libby’s second-best finish when he placed third in boys singles 3s and 4s after finishing 4-1. Thompson lost to Bigfork’s Love in the quarterfinals in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Zoey Fosgate placed fourth with a 3-2 record in girls singles 3s and 4s.
In boys singles 1s and 2s, Libby’s Silas Fosgate was 2-2 and placed fourth.
