Connie Lou Cady, 72, was born Feb. 3, 1953, to Raymond and Joanna Barnes. She passed away on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, 2025, with her son by her side in her home.
Connie lived an adventurous life. She spent all of her 72 years in the Flathead Valley other than a short time in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Connie Lou Lane in Columbia Falls was named for her by her husband.

She loved spending time gardening and crafting. Her mom and her would go to craft shows to find things to make at home. Everyone got homemade Christmas gifts. Connie spent many hours in her yard tending to her garden and flowers. She made many of the decorations in her landscaping.
Connie loved animals, especially dogs. Dogs flocked to her, if she sat down a dog would seek her out to get love from her or just sit in her presence. She always had a dog and was preceded in death by many of them.
She loved to joke around and play practical jokes on people. Connie was always up for a good time or a day of hard work. She loved to help with whatever project anyone had going on especially if it was outside.
