Emma Caroline 'Carol' Schlittenhart, 83

Emma Caroline "Carol" Schlittenhart, 83, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2026. She was born Aug. 28, 1942, on a farm southwest of Hazelton, N.D., to Martin and Emma Ohlhauser.
Emma began her education in a rural school and later moved with her family to Linton, N.D. Throughout her life, she held a variety of roles, including working on area farms, at Western Lithograph Printing Company in Wichita, Kan., providing daycare for 19 years, and serving as an Environmental Service worker at the Stillwater Mine in Nye, Mont.
In 1967, Emma moved from Wichita back to Linton, where she married Delbert Schlittenhart in 1968. The couple lived in Valley City, N.D., before settling in Kellogg, Idaho, in 1969.
Emma is survived by her children: Kelly Schlittenhart, Tamra Schlittenhart, Roxann (Jeff) Lambert, and Stacy (Corey) Berti. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jesse (Jessie) Lambert, Brooke (Quinten) Elguezabal, and Brittnee (Sam) Browand; and her great-grandchildren: Dawson and Delilah Lambert; Tatum and Asher Elguezabal; and Bohdee, Colbee, Bentlee, Kinslee, and Ayda Browand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Schlittenhart; her parents, Martin and Emma Ohlhauser; and her eleven siblings.
A celebration of life service will be held June 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Silver Valley Worship Center in Smelterville, with Pastor Corey Berti officiating.
