Polson boys and girls impress at home meet

POLSON — The host Pirates swept the boys and girls team titles Thursday at the Lake County Track Meet at Polson Athletic Complex.
The Polson boys totaled 211 points, ahead of Ronan’s 122.5 and Arlee’s 80. The Pirate girls rolled to 246 points, with Charlo second at 104 and Ronan third at 61.
Luke Horner led the Polson boys with wins in the 100, 200 and 400, while David DiGiallonardo swept the 800, 1600 and 3200.
Ronan’s Jhett McDonald won both hurdle races and Siouxpixm Qualtier captured the pole vault. Charlo’s Karson Cox swept the discus and javelin.
For the girls, Amelia Stene won the 100 and 400, Rosie Lies took the 200 and Quinn Delaney swept the distance races for Polson.
Charlo freshman Brook Cahoon won both hurdle races and the high jump.
Polson also won both girls relays and the boys 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
