The Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra will roll out the red, white and blue welcome mat for America’s 250th birthday at its season finale concert, “America’s 250th,” at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Midge and Pepper Smock Family Theater at the Kroc Center.

This patriotic celebration marks a triumphant close to CSO's 2025-2026 "Folk to Fantasy" concert season. The program is a nod to American music, featuring some of the most acclaimed works composed in the United States.

Highlights include Bernstein's renowned "Candide Overture," Gershwin's celebrated "An American in Paris" and rich American works by Copland, among other gems.

Audiences are also invited to attend a free pre-concert lecture at 2 p.m. led by Danh Pham, music director and conductor. The lecture is included with ticket purchases.

“This lineup is a celebration of the American spirit," Pham said in a Monday news release. "It portrays our diversity and resilience, who we are and where we came from as a nation. I can’t think of a more fitting way to close a season and honor 250 years of American music-making."

Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for seniors 65 and older and $15 for students, youth and veterans/military. Each adult or senior ticket includes one free youth admission. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted free.
