Three Forks sweeps Eureka; Ronan rolls past Browning

EUREKA — Three Forks swept a softball doubleheader from Eureka Friday, winning 16-12 and 15-10 in a pair of high-scoring games. 


Three Forks (12-5) used a 5-run fifth inning to pull away in the opener after Eureka (4-12) briefly grabbed a 10-9 lead with a 6-run third inning. Maren Lytle drove in four runs for the Lions, while Dakota Witham added two hits. 


Kameryn Rios homered twice and drove in five runs for the Wolves. Nova Ervin collected four hits and also homered, while Kinley Feliciano added a homer and three RBIs. 


Three Forks stayed hot in the second game, piling up 18 hits. Jadyn Iddings drove in three runs, Ervin went 4-for-5 and Cherish Allen added two RBIs. Tessa Sieler led Lincoln County with three RBIs, while Witham again collected two hits. 


Ronan 16, Browning 0 

RONAN — The Lady Maidens picked up a win in three innings Friday over the Indians behind a quick offensive start and a strong outing from Keeley Jackson in the circle. 

Ronan (6-8) scored eight runs in the first inning as Kai-Cee Sorrell delivered a two-run double and Autumn Lozeau added an inside-the-park three-run home run. Madison Jennison and Shelby Taylor also drove in runs during the rally. 

The Maidens added six more runs in the second inning. Hadassah Read highlighted the frame with a two-run triple, while Raela Bartel followed with a two-run double. 

Jackson struck out nine in three innings for Ronan. Taylor finished 2-for-2 at the plate, while Lozeau drove in three runs. 


Ennis 4, Troy 3

ENNIS — Troy dropped a doubleheader to Ennis on Friday despite out-hitting the Mustangs in both games. 


Ennis (14-4) used a three-run fourth inning to win the opener after Troy (11-7) tied the game in the fourth behind an RBI triple from Allie Borgmann. Adi Wood delivered a two-run double before Mykala Matson added an RBI single. 


Borgmann finished 2-for-3 with a triple, home run and two RBIs, while Hailey Dungan also collected two hits for the Trojans. 


The second game stayed close early before Ennis broke it open with six runs in the seventh inning. 


Troy briefly led 4-2 in the first behind an RBI triple from Ellah Wallace and an RBI double from Dungan. Kirsti Jellesed added two hits and an RBI, while Wallace, Jellesed and Ainsley Huitron each collected two hits in the loss.
