CALL FOR BIDS CITY OF WARDEN WEST 1ST STREET (SR 170) PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Warden, 121 South Main Street, Warden, Washington, 98857, up to 10:00 a.m.: local time on Thursday, May 28, 2026, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct West 1st Street (SR 170) Pedestrian Improvements. This Contract provides for the construction of new sidewalks, including driveways, ADA compliant curb ramp improvements, and associated storm drainage along West 1st Street (SR 170), from South County Road to the east edge of Railroad Right-of-way, including but not limited to excavation, grading, subgrade preparation, cement concrete curb, gutters, curb ramps, sidewalks, driveway entrances, hot mix asphalt pavement repair, storm sewer pipes, precast concrete drywells, catch basins, pavement marking, miscellaneous surface restoration, permanent signing, traffic control and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Work shall be physically complete within 40 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Washington. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the “City of Warden” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount. The Department’s and FAA’s Office of Civil Rights may provide resources and technical assistance to recipients to ensure full and sustainable compliance with Federal civil rights requirements. Failure to comply with civil rights requirements will be considered a violation of the agreement or contract and be subject to any enforcement action as authorized by law. The proposed contract is also under and subject to the following federal clauses; Government-wide Debarment and Suspension, Government-wide Requirements for Drug-free Workplace, Foreign Trade Restrictions, Buy American Preference, Disadvantage Business Enterprise Requirements. The requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 including any amendments thereto apply to this contract. It is the policy of the Port of Othello to practice nondiscrimination based on race, color, sex, or national origin in the award or performance of this contract. The Owner encourages participation by all firms qualifying under this solicitation regardless of business size or ownership. All required Federal Clauses including the labor provisions, and wage rates are included in the specifications and bid documents.
