ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Marlee Stevens, Sandpoint Softball

This week's Athlete of the Week is Marlee Stevens of Sandpoint Softball.

A left-handed pitcher, outfielder, and first baseman, Marlee went 4-for-5 with a grand slam, a two-run home run, a double and an RBI single during a 19-8 win over Lewiston in the Lady Bulldogs' 5A District 1-2 tournament opener. In the same game, she struck out 10 batters across seven innings in the circle, including the 150th of her career. The standout sophomore then followed that up with nine strikeouts over six innings in the district championship game against Lakeland.
