Beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and cherished friend, Dawn Eileen Frank, 75, of Pinehurst, Idaho, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on May 8, 2026. She was born July 26, 1950, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Garland Bryce Hibbert and Shirley Elizabeth (Benson) Hibbert.

Dawn spent much of her childhood in Eureka, Mont., where she made lifelong memories. Summers spent at the Bensons’ home in Kellogg were among her fondest memories. She graduated from Lincoln County High School in Eureka in 1968 and later attended Ricks College, where she met her lifelong best friend, Tina (Tye) Osborne.

On Sept. 26, 1970, Dawn married the love of her life, Ronald James Frank, in Kellogg, Idaho. Their love story continued when they were sealed for time and all eternity in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on Jan. 29, 1972. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, hard work, laughter and unconditional love. Their greatest joy was raising their five children and watching their family grow through grandchildren and now great-grandchildren.

Dawn loved her hometown of Pinehurst and dedicated 26 years to working at Pinehurst Elementary School. Halloween was one of her favorite traditions — she delighted in filling her home with candy and laughter, always hoping she had bought enough treats for the neighborhood children, though she somehow always ran out.

To know Dawn was to know kindness. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, loved and important. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by those she loved most. She treasured her lifelong friendship with Jenny and Lonny Duce and faithfully looked forward to her weekly phone calls with Diana Oertli.

Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and her testimony never wavered through life’s many ups and downs. She loved teaching her Primary children at church and found joy in serving others. During the week, you could often find her exercising with her gym family or sitting behind her sewing machine, creating one of her beloved baby blankets. Those blankets became gifts of love that wrapped countless babies — and families — in warmth and comfort. If Dawn knew you were expecting a baby, chances are she would lovingly make one just for you.

Dawn is survived by her five children: Brent (Valerie) Frank, Darin (Sarah) Frank, Jayson (Natalie) Frank, Ryan (Carrie) Frank and Alycia (Tyler) Seely; her 17 grandchildren: Trenton (Stephanie), Tyler (Katie), Mackenzie (Tyyler), Baylee, Bryson, Charlie, Preston, Allie, Jagger, Cooper, Chloe, Reese, Ryker, Ruby, Ella, Sophia and Justus; and her great-grandchildren: Weston, Maverick, Charlotte, Samantha and Remi. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary Hibbert (Betty) and Monte Grob (Terri); her sister, Terri (John) Ling; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends whom she loved deeply.

She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Ronald James Frank; her parents, Shirley Hill and Bryce Hibbert; her stepmother, Peggy Hibbert; and her brother, Hal Hibbert.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Pinehurst building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Following the service, burial will take place at Shoshone Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Ron.
