Dennis Jay Pegram, born June 24, 1962, in Othello, Washington, passed peacefully at home May 9, 2026, in Moses Lake, Washington.

Dennis grew up living just outside of Othello with his parents and three siblings.

Growing up on the farm, he enjoyed coyote hunting and dirt bike riding with his brothers and neighbors. He enjoyed running and was a fantastic athlete. Dennis was forever the instigator of a practical joke, whether it was on family, friends or co-workers. No one was safe. He was the favorite uncle of the nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time “junking” with his dad and finding great treasures.

Dennis always wanted to be a farmer. The construction blood won out. He worked in construction at the family business, Pegram and Sons Construction in Othello, for a short time. He then moved to the Tri-Cities and worked construction for over a decade before traveling to Oklahoma and then New Mexico. He returned to Othello and was an operator for Pegram Construction for the last 20 years.

Dennis is survived by his father Donald E. Pegram; siblings Doyle (Debbie), Charlotte (Rick) and Doug (Vaughn); nieces and nephews Dawn (Kees), Monica (Chad), Jarrod (Sarah), Dusty (Daniela), Breanne (Conrad), Kayla (Jeremy), Levi (Nakieta), and Portia; and many great-nieces and -nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Wilma L Pegram and nephew Richard Fontenot.

A graveside gathering will be held at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens in Othello on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. A social gathering will follow at Doyle and Debbie Pegram’s.
