KMS to host family STEAM night and levy discussion

KELLOGG — Kellogg Middle School will host a STEAM Night from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. It is an approach to learning that blends these subjects to encourage creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. By combining hands-on activities with real-world applications, STEAM helps students explore, design, build and innovate in engaging and meaningful ways. 

Activities will include slime, squishy circuits and sensory bottles. Additional featured experiences include cookie mining presented by the Idaho Women in Mining Group, as well as 3D pen demonstrations and binary code bracelets brought by University of Idaho staff. 

Following the STEAM activities, KMS will host an information session concerning the Kellogg School District’s proposed replacement supplemental levy from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

Anyone who attends the levy presentation will receive a raffle ticket for a PlayStation, which will be drawn at the end of the levy discussion.
