STATE 4A, 3A HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TOURNAMENTS: Kellogg boys in trophy hunt after first day in 3A

PAYETTE — Kellogg’s boys are seventh after the first day of the state 3A tournament Monday at Scotch Pines Golf Course.

The Wildcats shot 352, only three shots behind fourth-place Logos. 

The top four teams in the 36-hole tournament receive trophies. 

Priest River is ninth at 368, Wallace 10th at 370.  

Melba leads at 318 by 16 shots. 

Nate Fegert of Priest River is tied for 11th after shooting 82.  

Cooper Miller (83) of Wallace is tied for 15th, and Boden Glindman (84; tied for 17th) leads Kellogg. 

The top 10 individuals receive medals. 

Kellogg’s girls are in ninth after the first day.  

Kayden Stutzke of Wallace is the top local individual, tied for 21st after shooting 104. 

Soda Springs leads by 24 strokes. 

The tournaments conclude today.
