Lawrence’s 5-for-5 night leads C-Falls; Polson wins big

RONAN — Onnika Lawrence went 5-for-5 with four runs batted in and five runs scored, and Columbia Falls rapped out 20 hits in a 22-5 win over Ronan in softball Tuesday.
Lawrence, Katie Bulawsky and Bella Mann all hit two doubles for the Wildkats (12-5), who led just 4-2 going to the fourth inning and then put up six in the fifth inning and 11 in the seventh. Lawrence hit two singles in the final inning, when Columbia Falls sent 15 hitters to the plate thanks in part to three Ronan errors.
Mann and Kylie Gjesdal-Davis drove in three runs each; Kendal Moultray and leadoff hitter Alexa Friske each scored three times. Kylor Geitze and Chevelle Beford drove in two runs each.
Bedford tripled in a run to start the fourth-inning rally, which saw Mann hit an RBI double and Lawrence slug a two-run two-bagger.
Bulawsky and Ella Branstellter split the pitching duties. Bulawsky started and went five innings, allowing five hits, two walks and two runs. She struck out five. Ronan got three runs against Branstetter but just one was earned. She fanned one. The game ended after six innings under the run rule.
Marie Cheff hit a two-run homer in the third for Ronan (6-9). Sierra McGreevey had three of the Maidens’ six hits, including an RBI double in the sixth.
Polson 16, Browning 0
BROWNING — Maddie Turner threw a three-inning no-hitter for Polson, striking out five, and Ahri Rushing had three hits and scored three times.
Natalie Nash hit a double and triple, drove in two runs and scored twice for the Lady Pirates (8-9); Turner had a double among her two hits and also two RBIs.
Adrienne Crockett had three RBIs for Polson; Kendyl Jaeger drove in two and Graci Hammer scored three times.
