PREP WRESTLING: Armstrong earns All-American honors at U.S. Open

LAS VEGAS — Coeur d’Alene High junior Brock Armstrong, a two-time state 6A wrestling champion, finished sixth at 82 kilograms (180.7 pounds) to earn All-American honors in the 2026 U.S. Open Championships on April 26 at The Expo at World Market Center.
Armstrong won in the Round of 32 by a 8-0 technical fall, then again by a 9-0 technical fall in the Round of 16. Armstrong won his quarterfinal match 6-5, but fell by a 5-0 decision in the semifinals.
Armstrong lost by pin in the consolation semifinals, then by technical fall in the fifth-place match.
Armstrong went 44-0 as a junior at 190 pounds after winning in 2025 at 165 pounds.
