BCMS to host 12th annual Forget Me Not Color Run

Boundary County Middle School will host its 12th annual Forget Me Not Color Run from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at the BCMS track. 

The event was created by BCMS Leadership students in 2014 to honor the memory of loved ones while bringing the school and community together. Funds raised will go toward a scholarship for a graduating senior who demonstrates leadership, involvement, academic goals and perseverance through hardship or loss. 

Students, staff and community members will walk or run for 45 minutes during the event. Each lap completed earns a punched ticket, and students are encouraged, but not required, to gather sponsors or donations in support of the cause. 

Participants are encouraged to wear clothes and shoes that can get messy and colorful, as the event is a color run. 

All donations must be turned in to the school office by Tuesday, June 2. 

Organizers thanked the community for helping “remember, support, give back and make a difference together.”
