The Kootenai Valley Sportsman’s Association recently donated $1,000 to Duke’s Claybusters, the Bonners Ferry High School trapshooting team.
Duke’s Claybusters, which is for youth ages 12-18, competes in regional and state trapshooting events and continues to grow in both participation and community support while representing Boundary County.
Coach Ron Campbell told KVSA members last week about the Claybusters youth program and the opportunities it provides for local athletes interested in shooting sports.
“Ron runs an amazing program and works tirelessly to promote shooting sports to Boundary County’s youth,” said KVSA president Kevin Dye. “They are running a raffle with some great prizes, so keep an eye out for a chance to purchase tickets.”
“The Duke’s Claybusters are putting Bonners Ferry on the map with their shooting skills and scores, and we hope they go to state again this year,” Dye said.
