A Ronan man is accused of damaging the inside of a residence and a Subaru during a domestic disturbance. Scott Walker Cameron, 46, entered a plea of not guilty in Polson District Court May 7 to misdemeanor partner or family member assault, second offense, and felony criminal mischief.
According to court records, on April 16, law enforcement responded to a report of “a man going crazy” at a residence in Ronan. A responding officer noticed a Subaru with a smashed windshield and body damage parked at the residence.
A woman at the scene indicated that she confronted Cameron for not doing anything around the house, alleging he trashed the house in response. She said he began ripping drywall off walls and throwing furniture.
She said he went outside, began jumping on the roof of the Subaru and smashed the windshield. After that, he allegedly got into a Ford truck and rammed into the Subaru.
Damage to the Subaru was estimated at $10,727.13. Records show Cameron has one prior conviction for Partner Family Member Assault on June 23, 2011.
Judge John A. Mercer set the case for trial on Oct. 26. Cameron remains at liberty.
