Eating the right foods and staying active helps you to stay healthy, active and independent. Eating healthy and staying active means less visits to the doctor, which means spending less time and money at the doctor’s, especially if you have a chronic condition such as diabetes.

Simplify eating well: Make about half of your plate fruits and vegetables, one-quarter grains and one-quarter protein. If you are not eating off the plate, then balance what you eat throughout the day, but don’t get too technical (from the National Council on Aging website).

Foot care is offered from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 18. Call 406-745-4462 to schedule.

The center also hosts Bingo at 2 p.m. June 13. Yoga is Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Come enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you want a take-out meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday.

The main dishes for the upcoming week include Indian tacos, noon Friday, May 15; turkey sandwiches, noon Tuesday, May 19; tamales, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20; and spaghetti, noon Friday, May 22.

Our senior center is available for rent; call for information. If you have questions about obtaining Elder Commodities, call or stop by for information and an application.
