Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson has received a prestigious new award, recognizing achievements in creating a positive experience for patients, caregivers and clinicians.
According to a press release from Providence, the Gold Triple Crown award is given to hospitals that achieve high success in each of three areas — patient, caregiver and clinician experience — relative to national performance and compared against other Providence hospitals also with acute-care settings.
"I want to sincerely thank all of our caregivers and providers for their unwavering commitment to excellence," said Caryl Perdaems, chief administrative officer for Providence St. Joe’s. "Their dedication not only ensures our patients receive compassionate, high-quality care, but also fosters a positive environment for our caregivers and providers. Together, we make Providence St. Joseph Medical Center a trusted, safer place for everyone who walks through our doors."
When caregivers and clinicians have a great experience, patients do, too, she says. And the reverse is also true: Improving the experience for patients improves the work environment.
Perdaems notes that the award exemplifies how a rural hospital can provide high-quality care, while also creating a positive work environment for providers.
“St. Joe’s is vitally important to our community,” she notes. “This award just shows how we are excelling in all three of these areas while providing great care close to home.”
