An auxiliary chapter of The American Legion is being formed with Mrs. W.C. Brandenburg as chairman. Women who are related to men in the military service between April 6, 1917 and November 11, 1918 are eligible for membership. The membership fee will be $2.
Plowing and seeding are underway in District 8, which is near Reeder Bend- known as one of the finest districts in the Kootenai Valley. Dikes have not yet been constructed, but it is estimated that the river can go to 24 feet without flooding the district.
County schools for the summer are: McArthur, McRae, Edison, Porthill, Naples, Eastport, Sheridan, Washington, Curley Creek, Katka, Cow Creek, Paradise Valley, McKinley, Moravia, Copeland, Northside and the city schools.

A vicious wind and rainstorm lashed Boundary County and other areas Monday, downing trees and knocking down power lines.

101 seniors graduate May 19.
South Hill Sewer and Water Director Al Flory announced this week that work would begin either this week or next week on the sewer line construction, and he asked the public for its cooperation.
