Owen Felton hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Missoula Hellgate ran away from ABS Park with an 11-6 victory over Flathead Thursday.
Felton’s long ball sparked a 4-run first inning as the Knights (5-10 overall, 2-7 in conference games) jumped in front.
Hunter Fann knocked in a pair for Flathead (7-12, 3-6) in the third with a double to right field and Fischer Lee made it 5-3 in the fourth on an RBI single.
Seamus Kane added a two-RBI single in the sixth as Hellgate extended its lead back to 8-3.
The Knights got three more insurance runs in the seventh thanks in part to a two-run double from Dillon Daniel.
Eli Coopman and Micah Engle delivered runs in the bottom of the seventh, but Flathead could only pull within 11-6.
Liam Rech threw 4 2-3 innings for the Braves, allowing two earned runs on five hits and fanning eight.
Kane went 4 2-3 innings allowing four runs on nine hits and striking out three.
