A Charlie Compton RBI single and a costly error let Missoula Sentinel score five runs in the sixth and take a 9-5 victory over Glacier Thursday in a Western AA baseball game at Griffin Field.

Sentinel (9-8 overall, 6-3 in conference) got on the board first with three runs in the opening frame, one coming in on a single from Keaton Elliott. Two more crossed the plate on an error later in the inning.

The Wolfpack (10-6 overall, 5-4 in conference games) responded with a Beau Schulz RBI single and a Max Weber sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first to make it 3-2.

Ryne Gillette tied the game on a sacrifice fly in the second before a Kyler Croft RBI groundout in the third gave Glacier a 4-3 lead. Max Weber singled in the fifth to extend the Wolfpack advantage.

Compton then made it 5-4 on a single to right in the sixth before a little league grand slam helped Sentinel take an 8-5 lead. The Spartans added one more insurance run in the seventh.

Stellan Ridley threw 4 2-3 innings for Sentinel, allowing five runs on seven hits. He struck out six.

Schulz tossed 5 1-3 on the bump for Glacier, allowing two earned runs on six hits and fanned a pair.
