Glacier softball shuts out Hellgate to cap regular season

Taelor Holt drove in three runs and Ava Grady added a run-scoring double as Glacier took a 6-0 victory over Missoula Hellgate to wrap up the regular season Saturday at Glacier High School.

The win moved the Wolfpack to 13-1 in conference and secured Glacier’s spot as Western AA’s No. 1 seed for the State tournament in Missoula on May 28-30. The Wolfpack are 17-3 overall. The Knights fell to 0-17, 0-14 in league. 

Holt added a pair of sacrifice flies for the Wolfpack, one in the first to put Glacier ahead 1-0. The second made it 3-0 in the second inning. Karley Allen and Addy Cunningham also added RBIs on sacrifices. 

Grady’s double to left field capped on the scoring as the Wolfpack picked up 10 hits off Finley Phillips, who went the distance in the circle for Hellgate (0-17, 0-14). 

Grady tossed six innings for the Wolfpack, allowing one hit and striking out nine batters. 

Olivia Warriner started and threw one inning, allowing one hit and fanning two batters. She walked one. 

Kaelynn Hopfauf and Ella Lambert had Hellgate’s two hits.
