Sapa-Johnsrud winners: Eureka; Libby; The weather

COLUMBIA FALLS — Bridger Huddleston drove in two runs and Hamilton built an early lead before storms ended the final game of the Sapa-Johnsrud Invitational on Saturday at Sapa-Johnsrud Memorial Field.
Hamilton (17-2) led Columbia Falls (14-5) 4-0 through three innings after scoring twice in the opening inning behind RBI hits from Huddleston and Landon Ekin.
The Broncs added another run in the second inning after Boedy Tadvick doubled to center field before Huddleston connected on a solo home run to left in the third. Huddleston finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Tadvick also collected two hits.
Columbia Falls threatened in the bottom of the third after Tayvin Beach and Zeke Dunn delivered back-to-back singles. The Wildcats later moved both runners into scoring position, but play was suspended.
Jude Widmer earned the win after allowing two hits over 2 1/3 scoreless innings. Lincoln Fisher allowed four runs — three earned — over three innings for Columbia Falls.
For the day, one game was finished at Columbia Falls and one at Smith Fields in Whitefish.
Libby 3, Ronan 3
Elijah Foulke and Tanner Wolfe each drove in runs as the Loggers and Chiefs finished in a tie at Sapa-Johnsrud Field.
Libby (6-10-1) opened the scoring in the second inning after Noah Gillespie delivered an RBI single, but Ronan (1-16-1) answered in the bottom half behind a run-scoring single from Brodee Woll. The Chiefs later grabbed a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning on an Everett Lozeau RBI groundout.
Foulke lined an RBI single to left-field in the fifth before Wolfe followed with a run-scoring double to push Libby back in front 3-2. Ronan tied the game later in the inning after Zander Bennett grounded out to score a run.
Woll finished 3-for-4 for Ronan, while Bransen Holzer, Foulke and Kale Hall each recorded two hits for Libby. Both teams stole five bases.
Eureka 13, Corvallis 2
Tyce Van Orden struck out six over 3 2/3 innings and Eureka scored six runs in the first inning to beat Corvallis at Smith Fields.
Corvallis (7-12) grabbed an early lead in the opening inning before Eureka (12-6) answered immediately with four hits in the bottom half. Mason Parrish drove in two runs during the rally, while Logan Cuffe later added an RBI double in the second inning to extend the lead to 7-1.
The Lions added four more runs in the third inning behind a two-run single from Emmet McKim, an error and a sacrifice fly from Leif Burow.
Eureka finished with 10 hits and six stolen bases in the win.
