COEUR d’ALENE — The Museum of North Idaho's newest featured exhibition, "Moments that Made Us: Trailblazing Women of North Idaho," runs through Aug. 22.

The exhibition explores the lives of women who challenged social expectations and forged independent paths in the rugged, male-dominated frontier of North Idaho, a press release said.

Through photographs, artifacts, personal stories, and historical records, visitors will discover the remarkable women who built careers and communities in professions often closed to them.

Featured stories include pioneering photographers, mine owners, morticians, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders whose resilience, determination, and skill helped shape the economic, cultural, and social foundations of the region. Their contributions not only influenced the development of North Idaho during their lifetimes but continue to leave a lasting impact today.

Trailblazing Women of North Idaho invites visitors to reflect on the challenges these women faced, the barriers they broke, and the legacy they created for future generations, the release said.

The exhibition will be open to the public during regular museum hours at the Museum of North Idaho, 720 E. Young Ave., at McEuen Park.
