Gustaffe, a senior, won the state 3A boys 110-meter hurdles championship in 14.85 seconds on Saturday at Middleton High. Gustaffe was also third in the 300 hurdles in 40 seconds. “All of his success did not happen by accident,” St. Maries coach Aaron Cloud said. “He’s been training over the summer and working on himself and doing whatever it takes to get better. He’s the most hard working kid I’ve coached in my nine years, and he’s just been an absolute workhorse.”
