About half of the events were completed at the Polson ABC track and field invite Saturday before the skies decided to end the day for the Bulldogs.

Junior Colby Minton earned the gold in the 400, breaking the 50 second barrier with a personal best of 49.88.

The Whitefish girls took fourth in the 4x100 relay, with the squad of Mila Maddock, Ginger Bergland, Anna Boysen and Hayley Reardon racing to 50.64.

Hurdling star Bergland won the 300 hurdles against Stevensville standout Reagan Johnstone, crossing in 45.71 seconds. That was after she and Johnstone finished in a dead heat in the 100 hurdles. The two sophomores crossed the finish line in 15.59.

Earlier this week, the Bulldogs had second place boys and girls team finishes at Flathead’s Last Chance Quad meet at Legends Stadium. Flathead swept the team titles, and Browning was third and Libby fourth for both boys and girls.

Bulldog Braylon Dunn swept the discus, javelin and shot. His javelin throw of 151-8 was a PR.

Bergland tied with freshman teammate Barrett Clark in the pole vault. Both cleared 8-9. Bergland also won the 200. Teammate Anna Boysen, who won the 100, was second.

Chantry Krack cleared 5-0 to win the high jump and freshman Kendall Dye won the 1,600 in 5:26.75.

The Bulldogs head to Western A Divisionals in Frenchtown this weekend.
