Superior’s Phin Cataldo shot a 79 won second place in the boys’ competition and Khila Teeters of St. Regis carded a 99 and won third with the girls to highlight local golfers’ efforts at the Western C divisional tournament at Marias Valley course in Shelby last week.

St. Regis boys Denver Thomas, who shot an 81 and finished fourth overall, and Conner Lulis, who registered a 96 and finished sixteenth, also qualified for this week’s State C tournament and will join Catlado and Teeters there, also set to be played in Shelby Monday and Tuesday.

Although it was unclear if he would play at the State C tournament or not at press time, Dominic Mancini, the third member of St. Regis’ boys scoring team, which finished fifth in the Western C, also accompanied the rest of the team to Shelby.

Superior golfers Braydon Arbogast, Henry Hanson, Neil Orr, Dalton Boyce and Brydon Drey also competed in Shelby last week, completing their season.

The St. Regis golf team is coached by Dan Parks and the Superior linksters are coached by Set Kuhl.
