Flathead County Library is offering two free workshops designed for kids and teens this May. The workshops focus on skill-building, critical thinking and problem solving.
Summer is almost here, making it the perfect time for teens to strengthen their resume and interview skills. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in a free resume and interview workshop in the Teen Zone at the Kalispell library on May 27 from 3:30 -5 p.m.
In this hands-on workshop, teens will learn how to build a standout resume, identify their strengths and skills, and practice interview questions with professional job coaches from Express Employment Professionals so they can approach their job search feeling confident and prepared.
The library is also offering a free build a birdhouse workshop for kids in grades 4-8 in the meeting room at the Kalispell library on May 30 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Experts from Workshop Montana will demonstrate basic woodworking skills and how to properly use tools and safety equipment as kids build their own bird house. In this 4‑hour program, children are expected to participate for the duration and must be dropped off by a parent or guardian. Registration is required. Register at bit.ly/birdhouse-workshop.
