Horsemen, Trotters end golf season

Plains High School golfers made their coach proud and looking towards the future in playing their final rounds of the season at the Western B divisional tournament at the famous Old Works course in Anaconda last week.
“We finished our season at divisional and I am very proud of our kids, already looking ahead to next season,” coach Lisa Brown said, making a point of thanking assistant coaches Rob Steenerson and Max Bebb for all their efforts in helping develop the young golfers on the squad this spring. “They do a great job of working with the younger kids.”
Eleanor Bebb, Jaycee Carr, Tia Bellinger, and Brooklyn Crain toured the Old Works course for the Plains girls, and Pierce Danielson, Jackson Revier, Bryson Hoyle, and JD Warta represented for the Horsemen at the Western B tourney.
Brown said Jarett Weeks, one of the Horsemen’s top golfers this season, was sick and unable to make the trip to Anaconda. Bellinger also came down ill in Anaconda and did not play in the tournament.
She said that Danielson had a solid round in qualifying Tuesday and ended up very close to advancing to this week’s State B boys tournament, to be played in Billings.
