SAMUELS — Bonner County Sheriff’s Office officials announced the arrest of a Boundary County man who reportedly fired shots at law enforcement responding to an alleged domestic violence incident, before fleeing into Bonner County.
The man was arrested just before noon in Hope on an active warrant. At the time of publishing, the name of the suspect and the details of the warrant and pending charges have not been released.
Boundary County Sheriff Travis Stolley said deputies responded to the alleged incident, which was reported at approximately 2:23 a.m. Wednesday, when shots were fired at law enforcement.
Boundary County officials said the man fled from the residence and across county lines and was actively pursued by Bonner County law enforcement, first in the Samuels area and then in Hope, where the man was arrested.
State and local law enforcement aided in the arrest.
“No injuries were reported to any individuals, and all family members involved have been confirmed safe and are receiving support,” BCSO Sheriff Travis Stolley said in a press release.
