Either you do what it takes to move on to the next level and live on to play another day, or you don’t. It’s as simple as that in the cruel, cruel world of competition. It doesn’t matter what you did lately. What matters is what you bring today, decision day in whatever sport you compete…
The only ones that can keep competing or playing are the ones that now earn that right to keep on fighting in the sport of their choice.
That means survival of the fittest…
With State golf tournaments this week and divisional track and field meets looming…
Whatever direction fate takes, one wants to go down swinging when judgment time does arrive…
After all, that is the most important part of sports, taking your best swing, trying your hardest at decision time…
It’s the effort, the trying to win, not necessarily victory itself, that’s what’s important…
Every sport always comes down to this, the final countdown…

Frank, Weaver named All-Star alternatives
Sheldon Frank and Dallas Weaver of the Noxon-Thompson Falls Red Devils have been named as alternates on the West team for the 2026 Montana All-Star High School baseball game to be played at Legends Stadium in Butte August 15.
