WasteNot Project creates Flathead Valley recycling guide

The WasteNot Project announced the release of its 2026 Where to Recycle in the Flathead Valley brochure, highlighting updated recycling opportunities throughout the region. Among the key updates, glass recycling is once again available in the Flathead Valley through Black Bear Recycling.
The organization updates both the annual brochure and its website, WasteNotProject.org, to provide current information on recycling and waste-reduction options. The guide is designed to make recycling more accessible and to inform residents about the wide range of materials that can be recycled locally, beyond traditional items such as paper, cardboard and metals.
The WasteNot Project is seeking volunteers to assist with distributing the brochures across the valley. Those interested in volunteering may call 406-756-8993. The new brochure is also available for download on the organization’s website, which includes additional resources and answers to common waste-reduction questions.
The organization is also updating its Fix-It Flathead brochure, a resource that promotes waste reduction by connecting residents with local repair services. The WasteNot Project is seeking local professionals who would like to be included at no cost in the updated guide. Services listed in previous editions include handyman services, tool repair, electronics and appliance repair, and sporting goods tune-ups.
