Memorial Day Schedule of Events

Community members are invited to take part in several Memorial Day events on Monday, May 25, honoring the men and women who gave their lives in military service. 

The annual Memorial Day parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in downtown Bonners Ferry. Parade staging will take place at the Boundary County Fairgrounds beginning at 8:30 a.m., and participants may arrive any time after staging opens. 

Following the parade, a Memorial Day ceremony will be held at noon at Grandview Cemetery. 

Volunteers are also invited to help place flags at the cemetery on Friday, May 22, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Volunteers will also be needed for collection of the flags on Tuesday, May 26. 

After the ceremony, local veterans’ organizations, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, will host a community lunch at Memorial Hall at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. Street tacos will be served, and everyone is welcome to attend. A $5 donation is suggested.
