Women 4 Wellness – 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 21 at the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center at Salish Kootenai College in Pablo; annual event focuses on health education and disease prevention by offering free or low-cost health screenings and information designed specifically for women. Bigfork Whitewater Festival — 12 p.m. May 22-24 in downtown Bigfork; This is the 51st annual festival with kayaking, raft races, paddleboard races, live music and local vendors.
Ronan Memorial Day Procession — 12 p.m., May 25, on Main Street in Ronan; the Hardwick Post #112 of the American Legion is hosting a Memorial Day Procession from St. Luke Hospital to Main Street, ending at the Ronan Community Park.
Self Defense Free Community Event & Training — 10 a.m. May 30 at Mission Ridge (Allards Stage Stop); Ten Snakes Krav Maga will be teaching this free course to the community. Stops are limited; please call 406-309-1988 to reserve a spot.
Dance Your Paws Off Mission Valley Animal Shelter Fundraiser — 1 p.m. May 30 at the Polson Elks Lodge; the $25 per person event will include various dog/cat groomers, dog obedience trainers and veterinarian staff, along with Zumba dancing. The event includes a silent auction with proceeds going directly to the Mission Valley Animal Shelter. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 406-890-1405 or 406-242-9501 to secure them.
A Day of Art – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 30 at Ninepipes Museum south of Ronan; featured artist Kira Fercho shows her vibrant paintings in the gift shop gallery while Ryder Parot plays the Native American flute. In addition, various local artists will be painting along the nature trail and around the museum, while That One Guy’s food truck offers sustenance.
Polson Farmer’s Market — 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Fridays in downtown Polson, Fridays from May to the second Friday in October; the market has over 50 vendors selling locally grown, crafted and baked goods.
