Glacier girls win Northern AA tennis

Glacier came to play this week as the Wolfpack placed 11 athletes in the top four at the Northern AA tennis divisional Friday at FVCC.
Four doubles pairs and three singles earned spots, including Cadence Daniels and Cassidy Daniels who won the girls doubles bracket.
The Daniels’ performance helped Glacier secure the girls team title with 48 points, just ahead of CMR at 45. Flathead finished third with 14 points.
The Rustlers claimed the boys team title with 49 points. Glacier was second at 34 and Flathead third with 15.
CMR claimed three of the individual champions with Georgia Pike winning in girls singles over Glacier’s Leilani Lennarz. Autumn Bashara took third, downing CMR’s Carys Habel.
Fleming Daniel won the boys singles competition over Flathead’s Rowan Alexander. Alexander is the lone State qualifier for the Braves. Glacier’s Colton Mantovani defeated CMR’s Wiwo Batungbacal for third place.
Cadence and Cassidy Daniels defeated CMR’s duo Quincy Weymouth and Lola Habel for the girls doubles title. Kenzie Engel and Chloe Wasilewski took third for the Rustlers, besting Glacier’s Quinn Berkram and Rowyn Speer.
Finally, Rustlers duo Eli Crist and Howard Daniel downed fellow CMR pair Conner Sherman and Nick Stimack for the boys doubles crown. Wolfpack duo Ethan Ronngren and Karson Stafford finished third over Glacier teammates Josh Klippenstein and Axel Rauscher.
The top four in each bracket secured a spot in the State tournament, starting Thursday, May 28 at FVCC.
