COEUR d’ALENE — Kootenai Health announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors: Kim Ransier and Tag Jacklin. Both were appointed May 5 and will serve three-year terms through May 2029, with the opportunity for renewal.
“The Kootenai Health Board is pleased to have new members that represent different areas of the community, strong skills, and a fresh perspective,” said Robert McFarland, M.D., board chair. “Kim and Tag each bring a deep commitment to service and a wealth of experience that will help guide Kootenai Health into the future.”
Kim Ransier brings more than 50 years of healthcare leadership experience, including executive, clinical and consulting roles. Most recently, she served as executive director of Hospice of North Idaho, where she led the organization through a transformative period — expanding services, improving quality outcomes and achieving long-term financial stability.
Her career also includes roles in hospital administration, healthcare consulting and oncology program development, including helping establish the first cancer center in North Idaho during her tenure at Kootenai Medical Center.
Ransier holds degrees in nursing and healthcare administration and remains an active registered nurse in Idaho, continuing her lifelong dedication to patient care and community service.
Tag Jacklin is a lifelong North Idaho resident and experienced business leader. He serves as president and CEO of Medalist Development and Jacklin Land Company, where he oversees commercial and residential development projects across the region.
Jacklin also brings governance experience through his role as a board director at Bank CDA and his involvement with Coeur d'Alene Area Economic Development Corporation. His leadership experience includes financial oversight, strategic planning and a strong focus on community growth and sustainability, a press release said.
