Troy's Aspen Orr triple winner at District 7B Meet

Troy’s Aspen Orr won three events and helped lead the Trojans at the District 7B track and field meet Saturday, May 16, at the Eureka track.
Orr won the girls 400 meters in 1 minute, 3.80 seconds, then added victories in the long jump and triple jump. She won the long jump with a mark of 15 feet, 10.75 inches and took first in the triple jump at 34-0.
Orr also placed sixth in the javelin with a throw of 93-7.
Troy’s girls added several more top finishes. Jessie Heileson placed fourth in the 100 meters in 14.36 seconds and fifth in the 200 in 30.67. She also finished sixth in the triple jump at 28-1.
Jaylee Meyers placed second in the 1,600 meters in 6:09.49, while Toryn Witmer finished third in the high jump at 4-3.
Slyvia Hofer placed seventh in the 100 meters in 15.56, 10th in the long jump at 12-4.25, eighth in the triple jump at 27-1 and 10th in the javelin at 63-0. Shyanne Manley placed fifth in the shot put at 24-6.5 and sixth in the discus at 68-1.
On the boys side, Michael Gillespie led Troy with a second-place finish in the triple jump at 37-8.25. He also placed fourth in the long jump at 16-8.5, fourth in the 200 meters in 25.28 and seventh in the 400 meters in 1:01.60.
Kai Brownell placed second in the 1,600 meters in 5:05.11 and fourth in the 3,200 in 11:45.14.
Conner Powell placed fourth in the shot put at 35-3 and 10th in the discus at 86-1.
