KCRCC: Not all are equal

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 month, 3 weeks AGO

In reference to the May 14, 2026, CDA Press article, “Precinct Committee Races Could Reshape Kootenai County Politics,” it is important for voters to understand two details. The KCRCC Recruitment Committee did not send invitations to all Republican candidates to participate in the KCRCC vetting process for the governor, U.S. Congress, and legislative races this election cycle.

According to the KCRCC Recruitment Committee chair, they only invited incumbents. This is the first time in five years of serving on the KCRCC that I am aware that not all of the candidates were sent an invitation to participate in vetting. This is verifiable by contacting the KCRCC Recruitment Committee chair, the candidates themselves, and asking for proof.

The second detail is that the KCRCC Campaign Committee did not invite all Republican candidates to participate in the KCRCC Voter Guide, which they have done for the past two years. This is also verifiable by contacting the KCRCC Campaign Committee chair, the candidates themselves, and asking for proof.
