The world lost a very sweet, humble, hardworking man on 2-25-26. Rob passed away after a long struggle with dementia, with his beautiful bride of 63 years by his side to send him home to Jesus. He was born in Bellingham, Wash., on May 29, 1941, to Olive and Lester Mathes. Most of his life was spent in Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. After high school until retirement, he worked for Idaho Veneer in Post Falls.

He married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Severtson, and they were blessed with two adored daughters, Debbie and Lisa. Rob loved spending all his time with his wife (whom he remembered to the end, despite this terrible disease). His family meant the world to him, and he loved each dearly. This is not goodbye, just see you later.

Rob is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughters Debbie Wymer and Lisa Kimball (Donny, more of a son than a son-in-law); his sister, Suzanne Jessick (Terry Holliday); and grandchildren Chelsea Wymer (Keith Rector), Chase and Sara Wymer and Cole Kimball.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Loretta Symms, brother Rodney Jessick and grandson Quinn Kimball.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Rob’s name to North Idaho College Foundation in support of the Rod Jessick Culinary Memorial Scholarship or Legacy Foundation, Auburn Crest, 8382 N. Wayne Drive, Suite 205, Hayden, ID 83835.

The family is especially grateful to Auburn Crest, Ivy at English Funeral Chapel and Dyna Carlson.

English Funeral Chapel was entrusted with his care. To leave condolences, please visit his memorial tribute page at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
