The 5th St. Farmers Market in downtown Coeur d'Alene opens for this season from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The market brings in about 80 vendors offering fresh flowers, local eats, handcrafted art and live music. New this year, explore three blocks of vendors as the market expands north. Visit the market on opening day and receive a free market tote, courtesy of ICCU.

It is put on by the Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association.

After visiting the Farmers Market, make it an afternoon to remember with Music at McEuen, a free weekly concert series organized by Koep Concerts.

Music at McEuen returns for its second year with live bands and vendors at McEuen Park. It is free and runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

And, of course, don't forget to visit the many downtown Coeur d'Alene shops and restaurants that make the area one of the most visited in Idaho.
