It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Matthew Tyler Delicino announce his death at 36 years old in Spokane, Wash., on April 28, 2026.

Matthew was born Dec. 26, 1990, in Federal Way, Wash. He moved to Sandpoint in 2002 with his mom, Maureen, and brother Christopher. Matthew graduated in 2007 from Sandpoint High School and lived in Moscow, Idaho, then Spokane, Wash., before returning back to Sandpoint in 2021.

Matthew loved the small town feel of Sandpoint and walked and rode his bike to the library, basketball court or down to the lake. He always said Bonner County libraries were the best you could rent a movie, or book or even a video game.

Matthew worked at various restaurants and at Life Care and Luther Park in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Matthew was an organ donor and upon his death his heart, liver, kidneys and tissue were donated to save lives. Sacred Heart had a walk of thanks and honor for his donations.

Matthew will be buried at Clark Fork Cemetery in a private ceremony later this year.

In honor of Matthew or someone who was an organ donor we ask any donations in his name to your public library.

Matthew will be forever in our hearts and minds, and we will always miss him.
