I grew up in the small town of Orwigsburg, Pa., where I resided all of my life before moving to Sandpoint. I attended Blue Mountain High School, where I participated in cross country and track and field, a sport that I ended up falling in love with. I went on to attend and run for DeSales University (with other brief stints at Susquehanna University and Elizabethtown College) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport communication with a minor in sport management. I remember just how great it made me feel when I was mentioned in my hometown newspaper. I want to be able to give that feeling to every athlete in Bonner County, no matter how big or small their accomplishments are. As an athlete myself, I know how many hours of work are put in on a daily basis, and that hard work deserves to be recognized. It is my goal to cover as much of the Bulldogs, Spartans and Wampus Cats as I can. ALL-LEAGUE: Stryder Liermann
A senior right-handed pitcher and infielder, Stryder recorded a .255 batting average (14-for-55) and .349 on-base percentage that included two doubles, 13 runs scored, four RBIs, four stolen bases, and four walks across 21 games played this season... had a season-high three hits against Moscow on March 21... a season-high three runs scored against Riverside on March 26... a season-high two RBIs against Riverside on March 26... on the mound, had a 5.09 ERA to go along with 20 strikeouts across 34.4 innings of work... pitched a season-high 6.2 innings against Timberlake on April 17... had a season-high six strikeouts against Kellogg on March 17... posted a .886 fielding percentage that included 16 putouts and 15 assists.
ALL-LEAGUE: Keenan Maas
A senior catcher and infielder, Keenan recorded a .261 batting average (12-for-46) and .306 on-base percentage that included two doubles, two triples, 10 runs scored, eight RBIs, two stolen bases, and two walks across 19 games played this season... had a tied season-high two hits against North Central on April 6 and against Timberlake on April 17... a tied for season-high two runs scored against Lake City on March 28 and against North Central on April 6... a season-high three RBIs against Timberlake on April 17... posted a .960 fielding percentage that included 44 putouts and four assists.
