Oyler, a senior, won the state 4A girls 3,200-meter run in 11 minutes, 22.88 seconds, nearly 4 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher on Friday, May 15 at Middleton High. On May 16, Oyler also won the 1,600 (5:18.27) and was second in the 800 (2:18.58), helping the Panthers to a runner-up finish in the meet. “I never really knew how to run that race,” said Oyler of the 3,200. “I just relied on my endurance and just ran it, and it worked out well.”
