Ben Banks has impressive credentials

In 2022 the citizens, sheriff and county attorney's offices fell under a writ of mandamus as an avenue to try and correct the issues in the respective departments.

One of the asks/demands by the attorney that brought the costly lawsuit was the need for investigators in the departments to help get a handle on the problems and caseloads. To date, no dedicated investigators have been hired by the Mineral County Sheriff's Office, and problems associated with inadequate scene investigations continue despite the department being released from the writ.

In this June 2 primary election, the citizens and voters have a chance to correct that problem by electing a sheriff candidate with a wealth of investigative service.

Ben Banks' credentials speak for themself, despite his opponent claiming he doesn't have the experience to lead the agency. Banks' choice for his undersheriff and his credentials is even more impressive, and between the two of them they will bring the experience and remedy that is still missing in the department.

The citizens/taxpayers of Mineral County deserve to have the leadership and experience that has been missing.  And it won't cost us anything but a vote to achieve it.
